With over 15 years in business management and a lifelong love for great food, Sandeep is honoured to be the new owner of Fat Camel Café — and considers it a true local treasure known for its award-winning Israeli flavours and heartfelt hospitality.
His first visit to the cafe left a lasting impression — “the food was incredibly fresh, and the falafel? Honestly, the best I’ve ever had.” When he learned the café might be changing hands, he didn’t hesitate. “This was more than just a business — it felt like home.”
The amazing team you know and love is still here, and Fat Camel is still committed to serving the same delicious dishes, with the same passion and love that built the cafe’s reputation. “Nothing is changing” he says “except maybe a few more new smiles and fresh ideas along the way.”

Raman has been an essential part of the Fat Camel family for over six years, and for the past three, she’s proudly held the role of Café Manager. With a natural talent for food preparation and a keen eye for consistency, she brings passion and care to every dish that leaves the kitchen.
Beyond her culinary skills, Raman is known for her vibrant energy and welcoming personality. She loves meeting new people, catching up with regulars, and creating meaningful connections with everyone who walks through our doors. Her positive spirit uplifts the whole team, creating a warm, friendly atmosphere that our customers feel the moment they step into the café.
Whether she’s cooking up your favourite meal or sharing a friendly chat, Raman helps make the Fat Camel feel like home.

Nisha has been a cherished part of the Fat Camel team for over three years. She began her journey in the kitchen as a chef, but her curiosity and drive led her to the coffee machine, where she quickly fell in love with the art of coffee making. It didn’t take long before she was mastering latte art – and winning over the hearts of our customers, one perfect cup at a time. Also she contributed winning northlands best coffee for Fat Camel.
Today, Nisha is not only our talented head barista but also the force behind our fresh, daily bakes. She learned the secrets of the Fat Camel’s baked goods early on and now prepares them with care and consistency throughout the day.
Mornings at the café wouldn’t be the same without her. Many of our regulars come in specifically for Nisha’s coffee, a friendly chat, and her signature warm smile. And on the rare occasion she’s away, her presence is truly missed.
Nisha brings high energy, creativity, and joy to everything she does, lifting the spirits of both her teammates and our customers.

Megan has been a proud part of the Fat Camel Café team since 2020. As a barista specialist, she is passionate about crafting the perfect cup—whether it’s a rich flat white, a smooth long black, or your favourite seasonal brew. Megan says, “I love the art and precision that goes into making great coffee, and even more, the enjoyment from seeing our customers start their day with a smile.”
For Meg being a part of Fat Camel means more than just coffee—it’s about creating a welcoming space where people come together to enjoy delicious food, warm service, and great company.
